TALK OF THE TOWN: Lady Alice Manners shares a meme of Princess Diana to undermine Meghan Markle’s claim that she never researched the Royal Family before marrying into it
Lady Alice Manners has shared a meme of Princess Diana to undermine Meghan Markle’s claim that she never researched the Royal Family before marrying into it.
Alice, 25, has joined her three sisters to declare herself as Team Queen in the Royals v Sussexes debate by casting doubts over claims made in the interview.
The meme suggests that Meghan has in the past dressed like Princess Di and implies that it was no accident.
Alice also points out that Harry’s claim he didn’t get to ride on the baby seat of his father’s bicycle as a child is wrong. She also posted a picture of the Queen looking regal on horseback and said, ‘How it’s done’, adding that the Queen Mum and Princess Margaret were also women who ‘made sacrifices’.

While Harry and Meghan had superstars like Serena Williams and Beyonce lining up to broadcast their support last week, the rest of the Royal Family had a smattering of British socialites proclaiming their loyalty to The Crown. The only problem? Most of them were somewhat hypocritical.
1. Take Lady Victoria Hervey for example. The It Girl was quick to chastise Meghan saying: ‘It definitely feels like Harry has been kidnapped and mind-controlled.’ Funny that, as only last month it was revealed that the bonkers socialite believes the Covid vaccine is a ‘plot by Bill Gates to depopulate the world’. She added that the couple had given an ‘Oscar-worthy performance’ and said that Meghan wasn’t ready for the Royal Family as ‘their courtship was way too short’. Does a brief fling with Prince Andrew really qualify her to decide that?
2. Then there was David Cameron’s show-off brother-in-law, Robert Sheffield. He welcomed a daughter last year but it’s unlikely she’ll be a playmate for Harry and Meghan’s little girl after he said that the couple were ‘self-absorbed narcissists’. I hate to say it, but it takes one to know one, Rob!
3. And the Duke of Beaufort, also known as Bunter Worcester, tweeted: ‘I don’t know why Meghan bothers with the “ghan” on the end of her name. The only thing she cares about is Me, Me, Me, Me.’ That’s rich coming from the man who tried and failed to bag a part in the new BBC series The Pursuit Of Love… not because he can act (he can’t), but because it was filmed at his home!
The Royal satirist in sync with Sussexes
Meggie Foster, pictured above, went viral mocking several celebrities last year, once hilariously ridiculing the Sussexes for their schmaltzy Spotify podcast
In the wake of their Oprah interview, Meghan and Harry should brace themselves for a savage takedown by social media satirist Meggie Foster. But the TikTok star is biding her time and wants to launch a surprise strike.
Meggie went viral mocking several celebrities last year, once hilariously ridiculing the Sussexes for their schmaltzy Spotify podcast. Her genius is that she uses her victim’s own words against them. By simply lipsyncing to Meghan and Harry’s own words, ‘trust us, love always wins, so true’ and adding a silly pop song, she had millions of hits on Instagram and TikTok.
Now fans are clamouring for her Oprah takedown. But they will have to be patient as she’s waiting until the controversies die down. The other thing that might be slowing her down is choosing which part of the interview to use. It is an embarrassment of comedy riches. My vote is for that immortal line: ‘Oh my God, [The Little Mermaid] falls in love with the Prince, and because of that she loses her voice.’
