Following the death of Tanya Roberts, the Charlie’s Angels star’s partner has shared her ‘favourite’ acting gig was on That ’70s Show.
It comes after Roberts’ partner Lance O’Brien confirmed the star had died aged 65 after collapsing on Christmas Eve. Her death was prematurely announced by reps a day earlier, before it emerged she was still alive. O’Brien confirmed she had later died on Monday evening.
Now he has opened up on Roberts’ legacy, sharing her career highlights with fans.
Speaking to Fox News, he said: ‘She loved ‘That ’70s Show’ more than anything in the world.
‘She loved that more than any of her movies.’
Roberts, who also appeared as Bond girl Stacey Sutton in 1985 film A View to a Kill, starred as Midge Pinciotti, mother of Donna (played by Laura Prepon) in the series, and O’Brien explained it was the filming schedule for the sitcom, which ran from 1998-2006, that made her so happy.
According to O’Brien, it was closer to a typical ‘9 to 5 type job’ and gave her more time at home.
He explained: ‘It was so much fun. She could come home, have dinner at home, see the dogs.’
Heartbreakingly, addressing the death of his partner – who he had spent the past 18 years with – O’Brien said he doesn’t know how he’s going to cope without Roberts.
He said: ‘We haven’t been apart. I just am devastated about what I’m going to do without her.’
Roberts sadly died on Monday evening at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, after she was reported to be alive despite the premature death announcement, causing confusion.
The actress’ rep Mike Pingel confirmed her death to Metro.co.uk on Tuesday and said in a statement: ‘With a heavy heart I can confirm the death of Tanya Roberts (age 65) last night on January 4, 2021 around 9:30pm PT at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
‘Her 18-year domestic partner Lance O’Brien received the phone call from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last night at their home confirming her passing.
‘Roberts’ cause of death was from a urinary tract infection which spread to her kidney, gallbladder, liver and then blood stream.
‘Today, January 5, 2021 at 10:00am PT, O’Brien picked up Roberts’ personal possessions from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.’
Roberts also appeared in flick such as The Beastmaster and Sheena: Queen of the Jungle.
