‘I’ve now finished re-recording all of Fearless, which will be coming out soon. My version of Fearless will have 26 songs on it because I’ve decided to add songs from the vault.’
Detailing the reason behind why she’s delivering a fresh version of her iconic album, a candid Taylor wrote: ‘when i think bAck on the fearless album and all that you turned it into, a completely involuntary smile creeps across my face.
‘this was the musical era in which so many inside jokes were created between us, so many hugs exchanged and hands touched, so many unbreakable bonds formed.
‘so before i say anything else, let me just say that it was a real honor to get to be a teenager alongside you.
‘for those of you i’ve come to know more recently than 2008, i am ecstatic that i’ll get to exPerience a bit of that feeling with you in the very near future. now that i can fully appreciate it in its whimsical, effervescent, chaotic entirety.

The Pennsylvania native went on to explain the meaning of her original album as she went on: ‘fearless was an album full of magic and curiosity, the bliss and devastation of youth.
‘it was the diaRy of the adventures and explorations of a teenage girl who was learning tiny lessons with every new crack in the facade of the faIrytale ending she’d been shown in the movies.
‘i’m thrilled to tell you that my new version of fearless is done and will be with you soon. it’s called fearless (taylor’s version) and it includes 26 songs.

Stressing the importance of ownership, the pop legend concluded: ‘artists should own their own work for so many reasons, but the most screamingly obvious one is that the artist is the only one who really *knows* that body of work.
‘for example, only i know which songs i wrote that almost made the fearless album. songs i absolutely adored, but were held back for different reasons (don’t want too many breakup songs, don’t want too maNy down tempo songs, can’t fit that many songs on a physical cd).
‘those reasons seem unnecessary now. i’ve decIded i want you to have the whole story, see the entire vivid picture and let you into the entire dreamscape that is my fearless album.
‘that’s why i’ve chosen to include 6 never before released songs on my version of this album. written when i was betweeN the ages of 16 and 18, these were the ones it killed me to leave behind.
Impressive: Fearless was her second studio album and scooped many awards, including the Album of the Year and Best Country Album prizes at the 2010 Grammys (pictured)

The producer has been re-recording her music released from 2006 until 2017, after her entire Big Machine Label Group catalogue was sold to Scooter in 2019.
The albums included in Taylor’s seemingly-hijacked documents are Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), the ever popular 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017).
Reputation was her last album under her 12-year contract with Big Machine Records, before she signed a new multi-album deal with Big Machine’s distributor Universal Music Group in November 2018.
Although the catalogue was re-sold to Shamrock Holdings, the media personality has been able to take control of her records by re-releasing the songs, as per her contract, according to EW.
Wow: Shortly after the sale made headlines, Taylor spoke out on social media, accusing her nemesis of denying her the chance to own her old masters
Taylor had accused Justin Bieber’s manager of ‘manipulative bullying,’ and since the sides, through friends, have publicly had a he-said-she-said.
Her lawyer previously explained: ‘Scott Borchetta [former owner of Big Machine Records] never gave Taylor Swift an opportunity to purchase her masters, or the label, outright with a check in the way he is now apparently doing for others.’
Scooter’s company Ithaca Holdings LLC purchased Nashville-based independent record label Big Machine, which was founded by Scott Borchetta in 2005, in June 2019 for just above $300 million.
The deal may even rise as high as $450 million, according to the entertainment publication.
It included all the songs of her first six albums, along with all her music videos recorded within that time frame, and her album artwork.
Disappointed: The songstress also revealed Shamrock Holdings as the private equity firm that bought the masters in a recent deal
At the time, the country star voiced public outrage that the investor had acquired the rights to her master recordings.
She called the situation a ‘worst case scenario’ and said the news made her ‘sad and grossed out’ because, in part, she claims Scooter perpetuated ‘incessant, manipulative bullying’ against her for years to ‘dismantle’ her musical legacy.
Following his sale, the music mogul and his backers will retain the remainder of Big Machine – whose other artists include the likes of Sheryl Crow, Lady A, and Tim McGraw – for a fraction of their original investment.
Shortly after the sale made headlines, Taylor spoke out on social media, accusing her nemesis of denying her the chance to own her old masters.
The blonde detailed how she unsuccessfully tried to negotiate the purchase of the rights to her old music catalogue, claiming he demanded she sign an ‘ironclad’ NDA which would silence her before she could even begin discussions with BMLG Records.
Scooter has been reluctant to publicly address the clash, however, he told Variety in 2018: ‘I don’t know where we got messed up along the way that we decided being politically correct is more important than having conflict resolution.
‘People are allowed to grow as human beings. They’re allowed to have conversations. They’re allowed to change their mind.
‘They’re allowed to go from not liking to each other to liking each other, and vice versa. You find that out by showing each other respect and having a conversation.’
It seems like the superstar ultimately is getting the last laugh, since Forbes announced that she has topped the list of highest earning celebs in 2018.
