The Batman – The Bat And The Cat trailer: Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz showcase steamy on-screen chemistry as they fight crime together and even nearly KISS as they battle The Riddler
The Batman dropped a surprise trailer on Monday titled ‘The Bat And The Cat’ and though there was plenty of action in the clip, it was the action that was not shown that will surely send tongues wagging.
Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz, who play Batman and Catwoman respectively, showcased steamy chemistry as they fought crime side-by-side and nearly kissed in the two-and-a-half minute trailer.
One of the supervillains in the film is The Riddler AKA Edward Nashton (played by Paul Dano) as he is targeting The Batman AKA Bruce Wayne and even mentioned his family in one of his signature riddles.

Catwoman AKA Selina Kyle uses a seductive smoky voice as she tells the Caped Crusader: ‘Riddler’s latest. It’s all about the Waynes. If we don’t stand up, no one will.’
During the meeting at Selina’s home, Batman comments about the many cats that live there.
She sips on her beverage and seductively says: ‘I have a thing about strays.’

The two then show fighting each other before joining forces and fighting common enemies together.
In a voiceover Selina could be heard saying: ‘The Bat and the Cat. It’s got a nice ring.’
It does not seem to be the perfect partnership, however, as Bruce’s trusty butler Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) asks about his ‘new friend.’
Bruce expresses some distrust in their relationship as he responds: ‘I’m not so sure.’

Obviously Batman does not have enough trust in Catwoman to reveal her true identity to her as she wonders who he actually is.
Selina is unmasked as she seductively touches his face and asks him: ‘Who are you under there? What are you hiding?’
The cat enthusiast certainly marches to the beat of her own drum as Batman begs her: ‘Selena, don’t throw your life away.’
She responds: ‘Don’t worry, honey. I got nine of them.’

One person who does know Batman’s true identity is The Riddler as the serial killer is not shown at all through the trailer but his voice is definitely heard.
In character Dano says in a voiceover: ‘I’m just here to unmask the truth about this cesspool we call a city. You’re part of this too.’
Batman asks how he is part of it as Riddler responds: ‘Oh, you’re really not as smart as I thought you were. Bruce… Wayne.’

Another interesting part comes when orphaned Bruce questions the person closest to him, his butler Alfred as he says: ‘All these years… you lied to me Alfred.’
Alfred looks disappointed in himself but insists everyone has their own flaws as he reminds Bruce of his prestigious lineage.
He says: ‘We all have our scars, Bruce. You’re still a Wayne.’
The rest of the clip is full of action as Batman and Catwoman fight off enemies while it remains unclear if they are on the same page.
