The new series Devs, part of the FX on Hulu block, is one of the best new shows of 2020. Entirely written and directed by Alex Garland, the show is dense and hypnotic; viewers can’t look away. With a cast led by Sonoya Mizuno and Nick Offerman, the show—centered on a mysterious division of a fictional giant tech company—keeps viewers always wondering what’s coming next. Part of that is due to the very on-brand (read: dark and typically relatively haunting)music choices that come along with the show.
The majority of what you hear in the show is the ominous score of Ben Salisbury and Geoff Burrow, who’ve previously worked with Garland on his excellent films Ex Machina and Annihilation. And while Devs sports its own original music to match the on-screen action, it also features a number of licensed songs that exist out in the world. In other words, there are some songs that you might hear and what to look up for yourself.
That’s where we come in. Whether you want to add one of these to your workout playlist or just thought you recognized the singer’s voice, we’ve got you covered. Check the list down below; we’ll keep it updated throughout the season.
