The Cure have released a trailer for the upcoming film depicting the band’s concert held in Hyde Park in London last year.
The film, titled Anniversary 1978-2018 Live In Hyde Park London, is set to screen in theaters around the world on July 11.
“Forty years ago this weekend was the first time we played as The Cure,” the band’s frontman Robert Smith says in the trailer featuring the gig’s performances of “Lovesong” and “Boys Don’t Cry.”
Reflecting on the Hyde Park show that took place on July 7, 2018, Smith said, “This really was the perfect way to celebrate 40 years of the band. It was a fabulous day none of us will ever forget.”
The Tim Pope-directed film is being brought to theaters by Trafalgar Releasing, in collaboration with Eagle Rock Entertainment.
