Davina McCall has left fans unsure as she debuted white roots on The Masked Dancer.

The 53 year old, who recently revealed HRT "saved" her life as she opened up on the challenges of menopause, took to her Instagram feed to show off her new look before heading off to pick up her role as judge on the popular new ITV show.

The snap showed the star dressed in a gorgeous silver glittery minidress with a plunging neckline that she paired with some strappy heels.

Her hair took centre stage as it featured white roots carefully transitioning into her usual raven mane, which was styled back into a tight bun.

In the caption, she told her fans: "Hello!! This week I shall be spamming you with #maskeddanceruk dresses … I do this because people ask .. and if I’m honest I don’t get to look like this very often.. so I’m milking it .

"This dress is by @retrofete and my shoes r by @sophiawebster thank u @angiesmithstyle and @abigailrosewhite …"

She then spoke on the hairstyle as she continued: "hair tonight was really clever. @mdlondon actually used a feather! So the spine of the feather is my parting … he’s a genius."

Davina, who recently said going through menopause feels like kicking heroin, added: "And make up by my lovely @cherylphelpsgardiner . On at 7.30pm tonight @maskedsingeruk on @itv".

However, her legion of followers didn't love the style as much as she did and many took to the comment sections to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: "#DavinaMcCall's hair? WTF?Cruella De Vile #MaskedDancerUK TBF it's hardly the biggest problem with this car crash of a show, though…".
