Sarah Palin is revealed as the Bear on Masked Singer: Ex-vice presidential candidate is voted out after rapping ‘I like big butts and I cannot lie’ hit Baby Got Back

Former Republican vice-president candidate Sarah Palin was revealed to be the Bear on Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer after rapping Baby Got Back. 

The 56-year-old politician stumped the entire panel after performing the blatantly sexual 1992 hip hop song by Sir Mix-a-Lot celebrating big butts.

‘I’ve seen it all. I’ve literally seen everything,’ said panelist Robin Thicke, 43.

Palin’s cover of the Billboard chart-topper had Robin believing that Tina Fey, 49, who famously impersonated Palin, was the Bear.

Nicole Scherzinger, 41, guessed Christina Applegate, 48, while Jenny McCarthy, 47, believed it was Candace Cameron-Bure, 43, and Ken Jeong, 50, believed it was Jodie Sweetin, 38.

Show host Nick Cannon, 39, was shocked as he helped Bear remove her mask.

‘Oh, my god! Wow! You guys cannot believe,’ Cannon exclaimed.

‘Holy snap! And she was rapping,’ Thicke said.

Palin explained why she chose to be the Bear.

‘The bear is part of my nickname growing up and the whole ”Mama Bear” thing, and they’re in Alaska. They’re in their front yards. Bear was easy,’ she said.

Palin also was grateful that she was allowed to alter the lyrics for the Fox show.

‘I was so appreciative of The Masked Singer, they let me exploit men. I changed the lyrics and it was all about men,’ she said of the song about female buttocks.

‘This might be the most shocked I’ve ever been on this show,’ admitted Nick who has hosted the Fox series for three seasons.

Bear during her video clues package described herself as both ‘hunter and hunted’.

‘Maybe I’ve been a bit polarizing, but just like a bear it’s been to protect my cubs. Under this mask, I found the courage to come out of my cage, stop hiding and face the world head on. Now tonight, I bear exercise my right to a killer performance,’ Bear said.

Palin after being unmasked called the experience the ‘weirdest thing I’ve ever done and said it was all about ‘fun’.

‘It’s unity, all good. Something our country needs right now,’ Palin said.

She then performed Baby Got Back again unmasked with Cannon serving as her hype man.

Group C also consisted of Swan who performed Fever by Peggy Lee.

The judges guessed that it could be Nina Dobrev, Jennifer Love Hewitt or Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Rhino who described himself as a ‘gentle giant’ in his clues package sang Have A Little Faith In Me by John Hiatt.

Wild guesses: The judges guessed that Swan could be Nina Dobrev, Jennifer Love Hewitt or Sarah Michelle Gellar

Scherzinger said she had ‘a lot of faith’ in Rhino after his performance and Cannon teased her for ‘falling in love again’ with whoever was the tallest act.

She guessed it was Tim McGraw, while Jeong picked Tim Tebow and McCarthy thought it was Jason Aldean.

T-Rex also divided the panel after performing So What by Pink.

The panelists guessed that T-Rex was Kourtney Kardashian, Maddie Ziegler or Rebecca Black. 

Astronaut delivered a touching rendition of You Say by Lauren Daigle that left Scherzinger wiping away tears.

‘People say the sky’s the limit, but when you’re an astronaut, the sky is only the beginning,’ Astronaut said during his clues package.

The panelists guessed Astronaut could be Adam Devine, Josh Hutcherson, Lance Bass or Zac Efron.

Night Angel rocked out to You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi.

Afterward, she told Cannon that she liked the ‘duality’ of Night Angel who can be ‘so sweet’ and sometimes ‘bad’.

The judges named Taylor Dane, Monica and Lil’ Kim as possibilities for Night Angel.

The remaining Group C members will perform next week during the playoffs ahead of the Group C championships.

The singers still remaining from Groups A, B and C will then compete for the Golden Mask trophy.

Lil Wayne, Drew Carey, Chaka Kahn, Tony Hawk, Dionne Warwick and Tom Bergeron previously were unmasked during season three of the hit Fox show.
