Awful: Linda Lusardi revealed on Monday’s launch episode of The Real Full Monty: On Ice that she was targeted by trolls during her Covid-19 battle

She said: ‘I ended up in hospital for nine days, it was touch and go for a while. Everyone out there was so supportive – family, friends and people on Twitter.

‘But there were the odd trolls, they put: “Come on Linda, get your t**s out one last time before you croak.”‘

Linda defiantly added: ‘It did make me laugh, well, I am going to now. Here you are!’

The former glamour model also admitted that she is ‘terrified’ about stripping off on the show which aims to raise cancer awareness.

The stars taking part in the two-part ITV special will reveal all to the nation this week in a choreographed skating routine.

The two 90-minute specials aim to highlight the importance of shedding body inhibitions and making checks in intimate areas to prevent cancer.

Linda penned an emotional tribute to her ‘beautiful’ late friend, Angie Layne, on Monday night ahead of the first show.

Sharing a throwback photo with Angie, she wrote: ‘My beautiful friend Angie Layne who lost her battle with breast cancer when she was just 32. She is the main reason I took part in @itv Full Monty On Ice, on tonight and tomorrow at 9pm.

‘Terrified’: The former glamour model also admitted that she is ‘terrified’ about stripping off on the show which aims to raise cancer awareness

‘She was the most wonderful, kind, funny person and my soulmate. I miss her every day. I hope she will be watching from heaven tonight. #breastcanceruk #itv #therealfullmontyonice #therealfullmonty.’

Linda said of being on the show: ‘I do have a fear of hurting myself but the cause is far greater than my concerns. There’s no way I was going to say no.’

The former glamour model was left at ‘death’s door’ earlier this year while battling coronavirus alongside husband Sam Kane.

She told The Sun in August: ‘Sam’s had heart palpitations quite badly, and he’s under a cardiologist at the moment. They can’t see anything specifically wrong.

‘I’ve had some hair loss which has been a bit distressing. I still haven’t got the energy I had before although I’m getting there. Every week’s a bit better.’

Linda was hospitalised for nine days and required oxygen and was attached to a drip during her terrifying ordeal.

The Dancing on Ice star suffered from severe chest pain, fever and vomiting and at times hoped she would not wake up.
