The news comes after the former couple attended an official Wiggles business meeting at a Sydney university, posing together for the first time since announcing their break-up.

In an awkward snap – which was uploaded to the Wiggles Instagram page on Wednesday – the duo wore cheesy grins as they faced forward while posing with a group of university staff members.

The pair made sure to keep small distance between themselves, while both grasping their hands in front of their bodies in a ceremonial fashion.

Also pictured in the snap was Anthony, who beamed next to Lachlan in a suit and tie.

The next day, the children’s entertainer appeared upbeat when she was pictured back on set for the first time in several weeks.

Emma, who wore her signature Wiggles costume and oversized yellow bow, couldn’t wipe the smile off her face while filming scenes for season two of her solo show with Anthony.

Lachlan and Emma began a ‘trial separation’ around February and when announcing their split last week, insisted they had remained friends.

In a statement issued last Friday, the couple said they had ‘been navigating through a trial separation’ for six months and decided to go their separate ways.

Emma and Lachlan, 32, explained they would continue to perform together in The Wiggles but had ‘chosen a different path to travel in [their] personal lives’.

‘No longer touring as husband and wife was ‘a very positive change in [their] relationship’, they added.

Earlier this year, Emma revealed her secret battle with endometriosis – a painful condition that occurs when the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of it.

In April, Emma underwent surgery to address her endometriosis. She claimed at the time the operation ‘went well’.
