Do I even have to say what one of those things was? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
Tom Arnold appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote his upcoming show on Viceland, The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, in which he embarks on a journey to find all manner of Trump tapes. Tom tells Jimmy Kimmel that he’s known Trump for 30 years, and that he’s done business with Trump. Tom also claims Trump and producer Mark Burnett used to call him up and beg him to appear on The Celebrity Apprentice. The reason you never saw Tom Arnold slinging pizza for charity was because, as he described it: “The Apprentice is such a crappy show that I wouldn’t do it…That says a lot, because I do everything.”
One of the times Mark Burnett called up Tom about The Celebrity Apprentice, he turned Mark down by saying he’s seen a compilation tape that was shot during Apprentice filming (thanks to some of Tom’s friends who worked on the show). Tom says the compilation tape proves that Omarosa and Penn Jillette are telling the truth. Tom says the tape included Trump saying the “n-word,” and calling Eric Trump the “r-word.” Tom doesn’t say what r-word it was, but you can probably figure it out.
Tom already wasn’t a huge fan of Trump previous to that, starting with Trump’s insistence that then-President Barack Obama wasn’t born in the USA. So Tom’s no was a big no. He also says that of all the people who doubted he’s seen such tapes, the only people who have never come out and called him a liar have been Donald Trump and Mark Burnett. Tom adds: “Because they know it’s true. They absolutely know it’s true.” He also says the tapes absolutely exist, because The Celebrity Apprentice is a game show, and therefore the FCC requires all interactions with the host to be videotaped.
Then Tom sort of veered the car off conspiracy street and into the crazy ditch by accusing Mark Burnett of refusing to take his Survivor cameras down to the border to help reunite kids with their parents. But he won me back again by saying that the alleged Apprentice tapes would show that not only is Trump a mess, but that he’s not even the smartest Trump on set. Poor Eric; he probably heard that, and started bragging that the r-word his daddy called him must have been: “really smart.”
