The Weeknd is set to headline the upcoming Global Citizen Fest. The 7th annual show will be held on September 29 in New York City’s Central Park.

Also among the headliners are Cardi B, Shawn Mendes and Janel Jackson. The event will be hosted by Hugh Jackson and Deborra-lee Furness and the long list of co-hosts includes Gus Kenworthy, Danai Gurira, Camren Bicondova and Forest Whitaker.

“In 2018, it is more important than ever for Global Citizens here in the United States and around the world to demand their voices be heard – through activism and at the polls – so that we can continue progress towards a world free from needless suffering and want,” said Global Citizen CEO, Hugh Evans in a recent statement. “We are truly grateful to have such incredible artists, hosts and partners standing with us in a moment of history so pivotal in our fight to achieve the global goals and end extreme poverty.”

Tickets for the event will not be sold. Rather, participants are required to register at the Global Citizen website and download their official app to earn points for completing humanitarian acts, including, but not limited to reaching out to their local representatives to address the sustainable development goals issues by the U.N.

The event will air live on MSNBC and broadcast on the iHeartRadio app and nearly 150 radio stations in the country.
