Who is favourite to replace Ant McPartlin on I’m Celebrity

After Ant McParlin announced he would be stepping down from the 2018 series of I’m A Celebrity, attention has already turned to his possible replacement.

TV partner Declan Donnelly will be missing his best friend and co-host this Autumn with Ant confirming in a statement yesterday he was withdrawing rom the show to concentrate on his recovery.

But there’s no shortage of TV talent waiting to take his place.

We take a look at all the favourites to join Dec Down Under, as revealed by Ladbrookes.

Stephen Mulhern – 7/4

Catchphrase presenter Stephen is currently the favourite to join the I’m A Celeb line-up this year.

Stephen is already great chums with Dec and was last seen supporting him on the final episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway in Easter.

Just last month, Stephen joined Dec and Ant for a c atch up in London with their respective partners.

Could Stephen have cleared his Autumn calendar?

Caroline Flack – 3/1

The Flack is currently riding high following a hugely successful fourth series of Love Island that smashed ITV2 viewing figures.

After proving she can handle a flagship show and the stresses of live TV, Caroline is currently the second favourite to team up with Dec.

Dermott O’Leary – 4/1

The bookies have currently put Dermot in third place at 4/1 to join Ant in the jungle.

But given that he’ll have his hands full with X Factor until Christmas, it seems unlikely Dermot will find the time to jet over to Oz for the month long stint of filming.

Scarlett Moffatt – 5/1

The former Gogglebox star might be lacking in experience, but she has some huge fans in the Geordie duo.

Ant and Dec were said to have personally asked her to join the Saturday Night Takeover team with a regular guest slot.

Scarlett also has experience of being in the jungle herself, having stormed to victory in the show in 2016.

The following year she jetted back again to front spin-off show Extra Camp.

The trio had been expected to reunite this year for the show’s 20th anniversary, but with Ant pulling out of all TV commitments the reunion is looking unlikely.

But Cat could still treat fans to a half-reunion with Dec and join him the jungle.

While she’s been off UK TV for a while, Cat has carved out a successful career Stateside fronting reality shows So You Think You Can Dance and Big Star’s Little Star.
