Never mind the “Avengers” — the only superhero for us is Sammy Gluck, the Jewish Orthodox owner of Global International Mens Clothiers on Orchard Street.
Gluck stars in the new show “The Luckiest Guys on the Lower East Side,” a series that follows Gluck and his colleagues, Nat and Mario, as they struggle to save his fusty menswear boutique as the neighborhood transforms from an immigrant stronghold into a young, artsy enclave.
In the first episode, Gluck navigates hip-hop music, the Yeezy sneaker craze and the Internet with the help of a rapper, a Wall Street upstart and his flamboyant millennial nephew. It’s streaming on Amazon.
