X Factor star Scarlett Lee rushed to hospital with mystery illness

Former X Factor finalist Scarlett Lee concerned fans as she revealed she was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness.

The singer, who came runner-up in the 2018 series of the competitive ITV singing series, took to her Instagram Story earlier this week to share an image of herself hooked up to a drip as she sat in a blue hospital chair.

The 24 year old added the timestamp of 3.11am, and she added a sad face emoji to the post that concerned her fans.

Scarlett did not reveal what was wrong and has not spoken about her sudden visit to the hospital again.

Scarlett initially appeared on The X Factor back in 2017 but did not make it through the first round.

She then auditioned the following year, where she made it to the final round.

Dalton Harris was eventually crowned champion of the series.

Following her appearance on the show, Scarlett married her childhood sweetheart Nathan Shaw in a stunning church ceremony in 2019.

The likes of Love Island alumni Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde attended the nuptials.

Scarlett had 14 bridesmaids during her big day, and 350 daytime guests, joined by another 50 evening guests later.

Meanwhile, shortly after The X Factor, she spoke fondly about working with Simon Cowell.

"Simon has been so supportive of me, especially when some of the other girls were voted off the show," she told UK Music Reviews.

Scarlett added: "I feel that I have always had a good relationship with Simon, and his girlfriend Lauren (Silverman) was always working with me back at the house, and I have to tell you, that really was fun (laughter).

"It was really nice to see that their relationship was not just staged for the TV; they really are a super couple."

Meanwhile, Simon is reportedly set to marry fiancée Lauren Silverman in an extravagant ceremony next month.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, 62, proposed to Lauren, 44, with whom he shares eight year old son Eric, on a romantic holiday in Barbados at the start of the year.

And after just five months of engagement, the music mogul is said to believe that there's "no point in delaying" their nuptials.

"He has taken charge of the planning, and the date has been set for June," a source told The Sun.
