Barneys launches 25 percent off sale after bankruptcy

Fashionistas mourning the demise of Barneys can at least engage in some serious retail therapy.

The luxe retailer — which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Tuesday — is offering an extra 25 percent off sale items starting Thursday, with the discount code SALE25.

The deeply discounted goods include designer duds from the likes of Gucci, Maison Margiela, Balenciaga and more. (Exclusions include Dries Van Noten items and it can’t be combined with the “Welcome 10 Percent Off” offer for new shoppers.)

Among the steals: a chic little black dress from The Row (originally $550 slashed to $219 before additional discount), soon-to-be-collector’s-items “Jaws” T-shirts and hoodies from cult designer Raf Simons’ last collection for Calvin Klein, Gucci’s New York Yankees socks, sexy knit dresses and killer booties from Alaïa and classic oxfords from Pierre Hardy.

The sale comes on the heels of Barneys announcing it will close 15 stores, including locations in Las Vegas, Chicago and Seattle, as well as seven Barneys Warehouses.

It will keep its tony Madison Avenue flagship — even as its rising rent has become, as an earlier Post story stated, “a financial albatross.”
