Bride shocked as fussy wedding guest responds to the invite with a specific vegan meal request

A BRIDE-TO-BE was shocked after getting an RSVP back from a wedding guest which specified the meal they would like to eat at the reception.

The baffled woman took a photo of the handwritten request and asked whether demanding a certain menu was “tacky.”

The note from the wedding guest read: “Vegan meal request: large salad bowl of mixed greens, sliced grape tomatoes, cucumbers and red onion.

“Olive oil (lots) on the side please. Lemon juice if possible.”

The bride was shocked to receive the note, and uploaded a picture of it to the Facebook group That’s it, I’m wedding shaming.

She added the caption: “Received this on the back of an RSVP invite for a wedding with a buffet dinner.. tacky?”

The bride added: “Prior to sending out the invites, she was made aware that salad would be served and that cheese would be served separately.”

The baffling note clearly struck a chord with Facebook users, and racked up over 1,500 comments in just over a week.

Many people were shocked at the guest’s demands and said the bride was right to be surprised.

One person said: “I'd just pretend i didn't see it and move on. She'll get over it.”

Another added: “It’s a buffet, figure it out.”

And one user commented: “Or you could just…not come?” with someone continuing: “People like this need to bring their own damn food.”

However, some defended the guest’s request for a vegan option.

One person argued: “It sounds like she's making an elaborate request but really all she's asking for is the most basic house salad ever.”

And one Facebook user went as far as to say: “I’d rather not be invited to a wedding if you’re not willing to accommodate me.”
