The Metal Tiger has a ludicrously impulsive nature and very rarely, if ever, think before taking the plunge. They're always on the go and never switch off.

They’re always pursuing something and there is nothing in life they won't entertain. They're fearless and curious all at the same time.

They are, though, hugely entertaining, have brilliant intellects – and some of the most creative inventions of our time have doubtless been conceived in the brains of these potential geniuses.

The Metal Tiger is said to be one of the most complex, convoluted, multifarious characters you'll ever meet.

No matter how many difficulties or obstacles they face, they will never give up and in the end, Tigers live an average life with times of joy, sadness and sometimes disappointment,

Types of Tigers

In Chinese element theory, each zodiac sign is associated with one of the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Gold, (Metal) and Water.

Metal Tiger: Females are very enthusiastic; males are indecisive, stubborn, and feminized. These tigers are said to be family orientated. They have smooth careers, but must not become overconfident. With patience and tolerance, they're more than capable of living a care-free life.

Water Tiger: They have a strong sense of self-esteem and learning ability and are straightforward animals that don't like to hang around. They work hard and go after what they want.

Wood Tiger: Compassionate, expansive, and open. These Tigers are very honest and never have too much to worry about.

Fire Tiger: Optimistic and independent, with poor self-control. These Tigers are often composed and enjoy gaining knowledge. They will meet many supportive and helpful figures during their lifetime.

Earth Tiger: Adventurous and realistic, with strong faith who often go to extreme lengths bur can swing from coldness to a warm enthusiasm very quickly. They are also said to be extremely intelligent and will always chance upon a good opportunity later on in their life.

According to the Chinese New Year site, Tigers are most compatible with Pigs, Horses and Dogs.

Top of these is Pigs, and both will "see the other as most important and are willing to make sacrifices whenever needed".

While Horses are said to be able to attract Tigers' attention, a Tiger "will only reveal their gentle side to the honest Dog".

Tigers are said to be least compatible with moneys and snakes.
