THERE'S nothing quite like the self-satisfaction of finishing a DIY project and being chuffed with the final results.
But one savvy woman has totally divided opinion after revealing how she created a unique side table using using two lampshades and a belt she nabbed from a thrift store.
In the clip shared to TikTok (@hometalk), the DIY whizz shared her top tips and begins: "Grab two lampshades and a belt from a thrift store.
"Glue the lampshades together with E6000 and tie the insides together."
She then goes onto say you need to glue the belt on the centre and grab a wood round (a circle-shaped piece of wood used in crafting and furniture making).
"Paint the sides and add some peel and stick wallpaper," she continues

"Pop it on top and you just made the coolest side table."
The video has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 539k views and several comments – with very mixed responses.
Many weren't impressed with the DIY side table and were all too quick to share their reasons why.
"No, wouldn't hold anything and not the most eye pleasing," wrote one.
