I instantly upgraded my front garden with a bargain buy from Wilko and a lick of paint – now it looks SO posh | The Sun

A DIY fan has revealed how they instantly upgraded the look of their garden with a bargain buy from Wilko.

After spotting some large planters in the bargain shop for just £20 each she decided to make them look loads more expensive.

Posting on Instagram, the homeowner explained: "We have been on the lookout for some lovely planters for some time and for a tall size, prices are considerably high."

That's why renovating pro decided to spruce up the budget-friendly ones she got her hands on instead.

She bought two of the large pots as well as two slightly smaller ones then painted the large ones black.

"We just got around to painting the large ones and have the medium still to do," she noted.

"The black eggshell paint from Bradite was also a dream to work with, so easy to apply, quick to dry and no requirement for a primer!"

To fill the planters she bought fake plants to go in them from Amazon, so she doesn't have to worry about keeping anything alive.

The finished platers made her front garden look so much more posh, and she didn't have to break the bank to do it.

"Definitely grab them whilst stocks lasts as they look fabulous," she raved.

Other DIY fans were equally impressed with her creations and couldn't wait to try something similar out for themselves.
