I transformed my old council house staircase using a simple £15 buy, it was SO easy and took no time at all | The Sun

A DIY queen has shared the simple method she used to transform her old staircase in her council house.

Taking to her social media account, the woman first shared a photo of her staircase, which appeared to have white paint chipping off in multiple places as well as scratches.

Over this, she wrote: “This is how we transformed our council staircase with a £15 heat gun”.

She then switched this scene over to a photo of herself holding a black heat gun in one hand, which she used to strip off all the paint.

In a third photo, viewers could see how they’d stripped the paint off to reveal the wood finish underneath.

And then she applied a new coat onto the bannisters to give it a refreshed look.
