A PAIR of identical twin sisters have defied the odds to find love with another pair of identical twin brothers – and the close-knit foursome are now living together.
Sisters Venessa and Kerissa D'Arpino, 25, said they never imagined they would meet, let alone fall in love with, another set of identical twins in their town of Medford, Oregon – that was until they met brothers Lucas and Jacob Sealby in June last year.
In what the pair describe as a ‘one in a million’ chance, the twin girls, who both work as personal trainers, were introduced to the 29-year-old idential twin boys through a mutual friend – and they quickly fell in love.
It wasn’t long before Venessa and Lucas, along with Kerissa and Jacob, became official – and now the best friends are living their best life shacked up together in their own home.
Venessa said: “My sister and I grew up as best friends and were always by each other’s side.
“Nobody knows us like we know each other, and we always the other’s back. We have a deep connection and have experienced all our large milestones together.
“We never imagined we would fall in love with another set of twins.
“The story of how we all met is really one in a million. One of my clients is a nurse who treated Lucas at the hospital urgent care.
“She told me that he was a twin and she thought the two boys would get on really well with my twin sister and I.
“I gave her my permission to give him my number, and Lucas reached out to me the next day.”
After their first double date, the twin girls agreed it felt like love at first sight.
With the sparks flying, Venessa and Kerissa began officially dating Lucas and Jacob less than a week later.
And funnily enough, Kerissa and Jacob are both the older twins – while Venessa and Lucas were both born second.
Kerissa added: “It was really exciting when we all got together on our very first date.
“They say when you know, you know. We had feelings straight away and fell in love very quickly.
“The more we all talked, the more we connected and it just felt meant to be.”
The foursome said they often get stares and questions from strangers when out in public together – but added that people are always enamoured by their unique story.
And just three months after getting together, the identical twin couples decided to take the next big step and move in together.
Venessa said: “Of course, we know what we all look like, so we don’t get each other confused.
“But for strangers we come across in public, we’ve been told it’s like seeing double.
“As we are two sets of identical twins, it can be really difficult for others to tell us apart.
“We are all best friends and get along so well. Now that we live together, we are even closer than ever.
“We love each other’s company and are always having fun.”
While there are no wedding bells ringing this early into the relationship, both girls agreed it was something they very much wanted in the near future.
And while no plans have been made, the twins haven’t ruled out the possibility of a double wedding.
Kerissa said: “Our friends and family think we have met our clones in the opposite gender, that we are definitely made for each other.
“Marriage is high on our priority list in the next couple of years. We are not sure about having a double wedding.
“It is not something we really want at this time, but everyone wishes we would. After all, two parties are better than one so we will see!”
