I'm a flight attendant – transatlantic journeys are much more comfortable with my must-have item

FLIGHT attendants have revealed must-have items that can make transatlantic journeys much more comfortable.

The airline workers say that packing the items in carry-ons ahead of time will ensure that airport days are less stressful and enjoyable.

One item highlighted by flight attendants in a recent CNN Underscored article included Rise Whey Protein Bars, which they say are a quick and easy snack to have in your carry-on bag.

The protein bar is a healthy alternative when you don't have time to grab food before boarding, or don't want to spend money on overpriced airport cuisine.

Flight attendants and pilots also recommend packing a TSA-approved portable charger so you always have access to an outlet.

The Anker PowerCore 13000, which can charge an iPhone 11 two-and-a-half times, is a great option, the flight attendants told CNN.

One airline worker, Sydney Key, also recommended always travelling with cash. The Carrotez Cash Envelopes was highlighted as a " tear-resistant, durable leather" envelope that is great for holding bills that you want to keep separate from other money.

But when it comes to comfort, the EverSnug Travel Blanket and Pillow duo was a top recommended product.

The set is great for long flights as it is designed to keep you comfortable over a long period, with a blanket and pillow made with comfy microfleece material that is also machine washable.

Another product that can help you get the best sleep while travelling is the Flare Audio Calmer. The earplugs block out external sound and don't dig into ears when rolling over.

The Allbirds Wool Runners travel shoes are versatile and made with soft material. The shoes also have moisture-wicking and odor-stabilizing features so they can be worn all day.

It's a common fact that airplanes circulate dry air that can negatively impact a person's skin. One flight attendant who spoke to CNN Underscored recommended a product that can solve this issue.

The Aussie Flyer Face Base by Lanolips is a product that adds moisture back to the skin without making your face look greasy. The TSA approved product takes up little space in your carry-on bag and overall great product to have.
