YEAR ROUND gardening isn't for everyone.
Sometimes venturing outside in the blisteringly cold temperatures to check on your plants isn't all that appealing.
But when it comes to the warmer months even those of us who have never gardened before might be tempted to have a go.

"Now the tulips are over update your pots with a few cosmos seedlings, pop a few nasturtium seeds in as well and you’ll soon have flowers on the patio all summer."
And for gardening novices, it's always good to have a plan to get you started.
The gardening pro explained: "If you’re new to gardening it can be a bit overwhelming at the garden centre.
"Give yourself a colour scheme and think about if your garden is sunny or shady and choose a small selection that like those conditions.
"For a sunny spot I’d choose some Cosmos, Catmint and some Salvias which will give you flowers all summer plus a few stems for the house. "
I like to water in the evenings as it gives the plants maximum opportunity to have a good drink before the next warm day."
Of course, it's sometimes hard to find the motivation to get outside and get your fingers dirty.
Helier recommends cutting some stems of your garden blooms inside and putting them in a vase, "it will spur you on to having a garden full of flowers," she said.
Nicola Laird, 38, is another gardening guru who hosts podcast all about growing cut flowers called Let’s Grow, Girls.
When it comes to prepping your outdoor space for summer she says it's all about weed management.
