CLUTTERED counters are not only unsightly but they also make meal prepping way harder than it should be.
Well, home expert and content creator Katherine May has shared her $5 secret to help organize your countertops.
It's super easy for our kitchens to get cluttered as blenders, cooking utensils, tabletop decor, salt, and pepper shakers, and more become everyday essentials.
And instead of having these items stacked randomly on your counters, Kat suggested using a food serving board to better display your items.
"Of course, you can use any tray," she said in her video, "but trays are typically just a standard circle or rectangle."
As for food serving trays, she said you can find more unique shaped boards that are nicer to display.

"The cut-outs make the perfect fit for items I put on there and I love how intentional this looks," she said.
For example, if your food serving tray has a round cut-out on it, you can place a candle, vase, or even an olive oil container in that spot.
To better organize your kitchen, try grouping like products together on the board.
Experiment with a coffee-related board near your coffee pot, or a oils/spices board near your stovetop.

Food serving boards can be found at Target, Walmart, and most other home stores, but can also be ordered online for just $5.
And if you're looking to organize your kitchen cabinet, you can make a Lazy Susan for just $3.
In the video, Julie said she bought two cake pans and some marbles at the dollar store.
She simply filled one pan with a few marbles, placed the other pan on top, then filled the top pan with her spices.
Voila, Julie revealed her crafty lazy Susan, and since she bought all of her materials at the dollar store, it only cost her $3.
She then proudly showed off her kitchen cabinet filled with her dollar store lazy Susans.
You can even spruce them up a bit by buying two plates of any size or color.
Julie herself shared she bought $2 blue plates from Walmart for a lazy Susan she has sitting on her counter.
"I put on everything that I need so that I don't have to go all over the counter to get anything," she said.
