Meghan Markle latest news: Prince Harry will 'regret' missing Philip memorial as Queen now ‘unlikely’ to meet Lilibet

PRINCE Harry will 'regret' missing out on Phillip's memorial service this year, a royal commentator has claimed.

Harry, 37, confirmed that he won't be coming back to Britain for his late grandfather's thanksgiving service this month.

GB News host Dan Wootton tweeted: “Prince Harry’s silly feud with the Government over security means he won’t return to the UK for his late grandfather’s Service of Thanksgiving later this month.

“But he managed a jaunt to Texas for a rodeo this week. A disgraceful decision that he will end up regretting.”

The decision means that the Queen is "unlikely" to meet Lilibet in person.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun Online: "I think it's a great pity, what this means is it regrettable the rift will remain unhealed."

Speaking about whether the Queen will ever meet Lilibet, Mr Fitzwilliams added: "It's increasingly unlikely.

Sussexes have criticised the UK and world Governments over Covid vaccines

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have criticised the UK and world Governments over Covid vaccines.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed an open letter from The People’s Vaccine.

The coalition demands coronavirus vaccines, treatments and tests be “freely available to everyone, everywhere”.

Harry and Meghan, alongside more than 130 former world leaders, Nobel laureates, scientists and others, signed the open letter calling “for urgent action to vaccinate low and middle-income countries and bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic”.

In a statement, the People’s Vaccine said: “We are proud to welcome Archewell Foundation to the Alliance and appreciate their support, alongside Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“We will work together to end vaccine inequity and ensure COVID-19 vaccines, treatments + tests are available to everyone.”

They added Archewell’s support “will go toward the Alliance’s ongoing campaigns and efforts to secure fair vaccine access for low and middle-income countries”.

    Queen ‘unlikely’ to meet Lilibet

THE Queen is "unlikely" to meet Lilibet now after Prince Harry's decision to miss Philip's memorial service, a royal expert said.

Harry, 37, confirmed that he won't be coming back to Britain for his late grandfather's thanksgiving service this month.

It comes after Harry's fierce row and legal case over security – as he demanded his own protection officers in the UK.

The Queen's beloved husband Prince Philip passed away on April 9 last year at the age of 99.

A thanksgiving ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey on March 29 – and will likely see large numbers of the royal family attending.

But it's now been confirmed that the Duke's grandson, Prince Harry, won't be leaving his Californian home to come to the anniversary event.

Speaking about whether the Queen will ever meet Lilibet, Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun Online: "It's increasingly unlikely.

“It must be for some TV show for Netflix something like, ‘Harry meets America’ or something cringe-making.”

Meghan & Sophie ‘unhappy in each other’s company'

A body language expert has claimed that Meghan Markle and Sophie Wessexes interaction during the Commonwealth Day service in 2020 was "uncomfortable".

Express.co.uk spoke to Inbaal Honigman, a celebrity psychic and body language expert about this moment.

Inbaal watched this moment and presented her opinion: “The interactions, or lack thereof, between Meghan Markle and Sophie Wessex at the Commonwealth Day Service 2020 are eye catching, in their absolute failure of subtlety.”

Inbaal claims: “Over the past few years, Meghan has been subject to considerable scrutiny, whether justly or unjustly, for taking her time trying to fit in with royal protocol, and not accepting every direction that she is given, and having her own mind.

“This is, at times, a delicate conversation, because no one can tell what's in her mind.

“In this case, however, the signs of animosity are not hidden.

“While the chaps chit chat merrily, being used to formal affairs since birth, they feel comfortable with each other and with the grand occasion. They lean towards each other and their conversation is animated. This shows us how at ease they feel.”

She added: “At the same time, Catherine and Meghan are doing their best. Not born to royalty, they are adjusting.

“They are sitting in a very elegant way, in their allocated seats, behaving properly. Their postures are a little stiff, but not overly so. They are comfortable enough, their smiles reach their eyes, but they're aware that the eyes of the world are on them."

Harry extends rare olive to William

According to a royal expert, the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William still remains rocky – especially following Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell Oprah interview.

Camilla Tominey, the Telegraph's royal expert, says the royal brothers have not made amends and their relationship has "not recovered" from the landmark interview with Oprah.

Ms Tominey said Prince Charles is allegedly in regular contact with Prince Harry, but the same cannot be said for the siblings.

Ms Tominey wrote: "As one source put it: 'As the Queen has always said, they remain much-loved members of the family but it’s not been easy. It’s hard enough for any family to get along but when such intimate details are made public on prime time TV? It’s difficult to put that genie back in the bottle.'"

Could Lilibet be the answer to solving royal rifts?

Royal author Brian Hoey told Express.co.uk that he believes rifts between Her Majesty and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be healed when eh meets her 11th great-grandchild in person:

Hoey said: “I have heard from people I know within the Royal Household she [the Queen] really would desperately like to see the baby in this way.

“I think she would love to, I wonder whether it is going to happen, I would love to think it could.”

When quizzed if a reunion between the Harry & Meghan and the Queen could help heal their reported rift, Mr Hoey said: “Yes, it would.

“It would be a very easy thing for the rift to be healed between them. It may not be as bad as we on the outside think it is anyway.

“I am absolutely sure the Queen holds no feelings of disapproval towards Harry and Meghan, none whatsoever, she would certainly welcome them back if they came.”

Prince Harry's 'unexpected comment' at Kate & Will's wedding day

Kate Middleton had her sister Pippa as her maid of honour while Prince William chose his younger brother Prince Harry as his best man.

Harry gave speech at the wedding reception – and according to many of the guests it was the highlight of the big day – even making Kate cry.

Royal author Katie Nicholl gave an insight into the tear-jerking speech in her biography Harry: Life, Loss, and Love.

She said: "It was affectionate, warm and funny and touched William deeply.

"The speech was peppered with Harry's classic sense of humour, and he ribbed his brother: 'William didn't have a romantic bone in his body before he met Kate, so I knew it was serious when William suddenly started cooing down the phone at Kate'.

"Famous for his mimicry, Harry then impersonated his brother calling Kate 'Babykins', to much laughter from the guests.

"When he said the couple’s decade-long romance was his inspiration, there was a shy smile from Chelsy, while Kate shed a tear."

Queen only answers the phone to two people

AS the head of the monarchy, you’d think The Queen would have to be contactable at all times.

But even Her Majesty likes to get away from it all sometimes – and when she takes a break from royal duties, a royal commentator has claimed there are only two people she’ll answer the phone to.

And no, they’re not Prince Charles or Prince William.

Speaking to True Royalty TV host Christina Garibaldi last year, royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti claimed MI6 provided The Queen with a Samsung phone.

When she’s not in residence at Buckingham Palace, Balmoral, Windsor or Sandringham, The Queen is said to carry the device on her – and will never miss a call from her daughter or a certain family friend.

The expert claimed: “The two people she phones the most are said to be her daughter Princess Anne and her racing manager John Warren.

“He is the son-in-law of the Queen’s friend, the late Earl of Carnarvon and his home was Highclere castle in Berkshire which viewers of TV may know better as Downton Abbey.”

    ‘Rare’ break from royal protocol

A royal commentator has claimed that The Queen has made a “rare” break from royal protocol to show her support to Ukraine.

Royally Us presenter Christina Garibaldi noted the Queen made a “generous donation” to a charity providing aid to civilians caught in the war, despite members of the family traditionally maintaining a clear distance from issues that could be considered political.

Ms Garibaldi said: “Speaking of Ukraine, she actually made a rare donation to support Ukrainian refugees.

“She has publicly commented on the Russian invasion against Ukraine but the UK charity Disasters Emergency Committee announced Her Majesty contributed a ‘generous fund.’

“They wrote on Twitter, ‘many thanks to Her Majesty The Queen for continuing to support the Disasters Emergency Committee and for making a generous donation to the DEC Ukraine humanitarian appeal.’

“The Royal Family tend not to talk about politics but this was definitely a way for her to lend her support and to say what side she’s on.”

Kate will ‘not forget’ treatment by Meghan Markle

KATE Middleton will ‘not forget’ the way Meghan Markle previously treated her ahead of what could be an ‘awkward’ reunion at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Prince Harry and Meghan could come to the UK in the summer to take part in celebrations for the anticipated event.

However, a happy family reunion have may not be on the cards as royal author and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, says the Duchess of Cambridge may never forget how she was treated by Ms Markle.

This is about the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview where Meghan claimed the Duchess made her cry.

Ms Seward told the Mirror: “The Duchess of Cambridge will be cordial to Meghan. She has to – that is part of her job. Her private feelings have to remain just that. Kate will not forget however how Meghan treated her.

“But she knows there is no point in prolonging a feud that has the opportunity of being repaired.”
