FANS of the cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch have shared an inexpensive hack to remove stubborn stains from your carpet.

Those with messy kids or clumsy hands that always seem to drop everything know how difficult it can be to get rid of stains from your carpet – hours of scrubbing, and it feels the situation has only gone worse.

Though there are countless of products in the market to tackle this, there is no need to spend money, especially as Brits are suffering through a cost-of-living crisis.

If your carpet is looking a bit rough, keep on reading, as fans of Mrs Hinch have revealed an effective solution, The Express reported.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, 32, has long been a favourite amongst fellow cleaning enthusiasts, with close to 4.5 million followers on Instagram.

Sharing their tips and tricks, many claimed that baking soda, which can be picked up from Asda for as little as 65p, worked like a charm.

The kitchen staple is often hailed as an inexpensive way to clean lots of areas around a home, including your mattress and the kitchen drain.

"Bicarbonate of soda for milk," Tracey Sisson replied in a comment.

Another user, Kat Rawlings, also recommended this ingredient: "Bicarbonate of soda and Zoflora."

A fellow cleaning fanatic joined the conversaton and said: ''Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda all over and leave as long as possible then Hoover up.

"It worked after a milk spill in my car."

Michele Levy added: "Cover the area with a thick layer of bicarbonate of soda and leave all day/overnight if possible then Hoover.
