My two-year-old daughter drinks 10 bottles of milk a day & only really eats snacks – she’ll stop when she’s ready

A MUM whose daughter still drinks 10 bottles of milk a day has defended her little girl, insisting she'll give up the dairy drink when she's ready.

Ellie Malone took to TikTok to share a video of her daughter's daily milk intake, as she wrote over the clip: "How many bottles of milk my two year old drinks in a day."

The little girl started her day with a bottle on the sofa, before having another five bottles in the same position.

Bottle number seven was in another room, with an empty milk bottle seen on the floor next to her, while number eight was given to her when she was sitting on the sofa again, apparently after a bath.

For her ninth bottle of milk of the day, the little girl was seen in her cot, ready to drop off to sleep.

And while Ellie had perhaps thought that the ninth would be the last bottle, she ended up doing one more when her daughter wouldn't go to sleep – at which point she gave the iPad to watch in her cot as well.

The comments section of the video saw people questioning whether it was healthy for the little girl to have that much milk in one day.

"My son is 1 and half and only has 2 maybe 3 bottles. Am I not giving him enough?" one person wrote.

To which Ellie replied: "You are yes don’t worry, at her 2 year check they suggested she should have 360ml including milk on cereal.

"One bottle is 260."

That means that Ellie's daughter is having 2.6 litres of milk on a daily basis.

Another person asked: "does she eat food ok for you? only asking because my 3 Yr old is the same with milk but doesn't seem to eat very much food."

And Ellie replied: "She doesn’t eat much either she just snacks, the milk is very much a comfort thing but also I do think she asks for it in replacement to food."

"U must go through some amount of milk," someone else wrote, with Ellie responding: "I go through 4 pints in about 3 days."
