Nike's Sustainable Space Hippie 03 Returns in "Healing Jade"

First unveiled as part of the

High-cut sock uppers are made almost entirely of a gray knit material called rPoly, a variation of Nike‘s Flyknit tech that’s constructed of recycled plastic bottles plus T-shirt and yarn scraps. This gray base is accented with volt stitching on the forefoot and midfoot, then white embroidery around the collar. A single volt/black Swoosh graces the toebox, and above this sits the signature FlyEase lacing system.

Using a two-part toggle construction that’s denoted with volt straps over the top of the foot and around the heel, the FlyEase system enables the wearer to tighten or loosen the high-tensile white wires that drop down from the throat onto the quarter’s lateral and medial anchor points. These anchor points are done up in a marbled blue, matching the branded tongue and heel tabs.

A finishing touch is provided by the “Healing Jade” midsole, which is made of recycled ZoomX foam scraps and combined with NikeGrind rubber, hence the multi-colored flecks. More NikeGrind appears in high-wear areas on the toe and heel to provide extra durability. The “Healing Jade” also comes packaged in a sustainable box.

Look for the Nike Space Hippie 03 “Healing Jade” to release on Nike SNKRS Korea come New Year’s Day, January 1. The MSRP is set at ₩219,000 KRW (approximately $198 USD). A US release will likely follow in later weeks.
