One woman has taken to Mumsnet to ask others the cheeky ways they save money.
The woman admitted her husband often reuses stamps from mail they receive if the stamp isn't marked.
"His excitement when an envelope arrives and the stamp isn't marked is a wonder to behold," she explained.
Most people love finding a bargain, but some people are prepared to go to some extreme lengths to make sure they're saving the pennies.
People on the forum confessed to the stingiest acts they use to make life a little cheaper.
One user shared their thrifty hack of sitting upstairs on their bed to get warm, as the hot air rises and they don't have to turn the heating on.
Another user revealed that they cut up old Christmas cards and turned them into gift tags to save them a few quid at an already expensive time of year.
But other people raised eyebrows with the extravagant lengths they went to.

One user admitted to bringing thermos mug out and about with her with coffee at the bottom.
That way she could walk in to a coffee shop and get it filled with hot water, rather than spend £3 on a coffee from the shop.
She wrote: "I just ask a nearby cafe to fill it with hot water, which they normally do obligingly.
"I also take a tea bag and do the same later on in the day."
People were baffled by it, 'this can't be real' wrote one person, until someone else explained 'she is saving money by not boiling her own kettle.'
People were equally shocked by one woman's confession that she washes her facemask in the bath with her once a week to save on her water bill.
She also admitted to using free newspapers as doormats, which she replaces 'every week or two.'
One woman revealed that when one of her tight legs ripped she would simply cut it off and wait for it to happen to another pair.
Then she would put on both pairs together to save her buying another pair of tights.
One woman recalled how her friend's ex-boyfriend had some very cheeky ways to save money and find it.
She listed his methods, saying: "He always charged his phone up at everyone's house.
"He stuffed his face at parties, brings cheaper stuff then drinks the expensive stuff and he takes leftovers home and freezes them."
She also revealed he would pretend to be asleep or hid in the toilets on trains to get out of paying for his ticket.
Not only that, he would wake up extra early on the weekends and check out ATM machines to see if drunk people had left money there or dropped it on their walk home.
It seemed like a popular hack with many others admitting to looking out for change left behind in supermarket trolleys or collecting prize tickets from the floor at seaside arcades.
