The 18-year-old “High School Musical: The Series” and Disney Channel veteran this week unveiled a massive tour of the U.S., Canada and Europe, with opener Gracie Abrams. Also riding high this year: Enduring pop-rockers Foo Fighters, whose leader Dave Grohl has seemingly been everywhere lately as part of the band’s 27th anniversary (LOL) festivities. Foo Fighters’ 14-date North American tour brings it to the 76,125-seat Empower Field at Mile High on Aug. 6, 2022. Pop-country king Keith Urban returns to Denver for a Sept 16, 2022, concert as part of his “The Speed of Now World Tour.” Tickets for the all-ages set at Ball Arena are on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10. Laidback acoustic singer-songwriter Jack Johnson returns to Greenwood Village’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre for an Aug. 31 concert, part of his 2022 summer tour of North America with opener Ziggy Marley. Marley also plays an all-ages, May 29, 2022 concert with Stephen Marley and Ben Harper & Innocent Criminals as part of this year’s Red Rocks Bob Marley celebration, rescheduled from last year ($80-$130). John Mulaney joins the list of big comics — Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Sara Silverman — who have taken to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre stage over the years with a Sunday, April 17, 2022, date — part of the new “From Scratch” tour. The name is a nod to the controversy Mulaney has seen in recent months, from divorcing his wife for Olivia Munn to disclosing that he went back to rehab. They include June 3-4 concerts at Denver’s prestigious Ellie Caulkins Opera House, followed by a Sept. 6 show at Colorado Sprins’ Pikes Peak Center.
