Dr Dre is said to have fallen ill after suffering a brain aneurysm in Los Angeles.
The rapper, 55, is believed to have been rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, after suffering from an aneurysm on Monday, before being rushed to the intensive care unit.
It's believed that the technology and music businessman is in a "stable and lucid" condition while medics are running several tests to discover the cause of the bleed, a source told US tabloid TMZ.
The news comes in the midst of a divorce battle between Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young and his wife, Nicole Young after the pair had been married for 24-years.
Dre and Nicole announced their intentions to divorce in June 2020, with Nicole citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the pair to file the paperwork.
Since the news break of Dre's hospitalisation, fans have flocked to social media, sending their best wishes to the hip hop star, wishing him a speedy recovery.
One fan tweeted: "Cmon Dr. Dre pull through this man."
While a second added: "Dr Dre in ICU?? Jesus, I hope he's, ok brain aneurysms are no joke."
"Man the things we don't see this stuff we still deal with poor or rich will have you sick… BIG PRAYERS FOR #drdre," said a third.
A heartbroken fourth went on to add: "Praying for a Speedy recovery for Dr Dre… An Icon in the Flesh, God still got big plans for you Andre."
