Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran made waves last week as he duetted with an unlikely partner – and it appears the move might have scored him a "big money deal" with huge video platform TikTok.
Ed and Friends star Courteney Cox teamed up to perform a revamped version of Monica and Ross’s (David Schwimmer) iconic dance routine, as performed by the siblings on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Show.
The dance first cropped up in the episode The One with the Routine in 1999 and has since become a staple of the 90s sitcom.
And, taking to Instagram, Ed was clearly loving life as they bopped about, as he captioned the clip: "Had a reunion of our own this weekend."
Both the stars definitely had the moves, as they barely slipped up – until they both fell onto the grass at the end.
Fans flocked to social media to praise the grooving pair, with The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco dubbing the routine: "Epic."
Even model and actress Cara Delevingne appeared to post some love heart emojis on the post.
And now it looks like the video might have scored Ed even more fame, as it has been reported he is set to become the "new face of TikTok".
A source told The Sun: "It is a huge coup to get someone as big as Ed on board and everyone is really excited about the end result.
"TikTok is a huge platform for artists now and Ed can see that."
They continued: "It was something he wanted to get involved in and the project he has done with them is really exciting."
The source added that Ed has actually been doing some filming for the video platform in London recently.
Though Ed took a step back from the spotlight after the birth of his daughter Lyra Antarctica with partner Cherry Seaborn in 2019, it looks like he could soon be making a huge return to music.
