Johnny Depp is one of Hollywood's most famous and successful actors of all time.
Ever since making his debut in 1984's A Nightmare on Elm Street, Johnny has been one of the most lusted after and in demand men in the world.
Despite his fame, the star has been notoriously private.
But since his libel case against The Sun, involving ex Amber Heard, Johnny's life away from the cameras has been ripped wide open.
Mr Justice Nicol ruled on Monday November 2 that The Sun newspaper's report calling Johnny Depp a "wife beater" was "substantially true".
However, Depp's team said he is now appealing the ruling, which they labelled "perverse as it is bewildering."
The trial exposed some of the most gripping and concerning details about the superstar.
Shocking images taken in 2013 have shown Johnny's indulgence for drugs and booze.
One image said to have been taken at 1.37pm one day in 2013 shown to the courts, depicted a glass table covered in illegal drugs and booze.
As well as four lines of Class A drug cocaine, a drugs box with the actors initials JD can be seen next to a glass off alleged Bourbon whisky.
A bag of rolling tobacco and Johnny's credit card can also be seen strewn to the side.
Courts heard how the actor was due to be filming a documentary about The Rolling Stones' guitarist Keith Richards when he began "snorting more and more lines of cocaine".
The claims went on to allege his ex Amber Heard and her sister Whitney Henriquez "tried for four hours" to get him to set but he "refused".
A second concerning image sees Depp sprawled on the floor in the corner of his room.
The star is fully dressed in a shirt, trousers and waistcoat.
Heard claims she took the images to "shock" Depp into cleaning up his ways.
During the trial Depp, now 57, told the courts he first took drugs when he was aged just 11.
He added he had "tried every substance known to man" within three years.
Depp says he was not addicted to any illegal drugs, however, confirmed he would regularly abuse pills, cocaine and marijuana.
Johnny Depp said he wanted to 'drown and burn Amber Heard then f*** corpse' in texts to pal
He described the amount of drugs he would take as being 'humongous'.
Depp also said he would routinely abuse alcohol and painkillers.
Courts heard how Johnny was offered a line by Sir Elton John – a recovered addict.
During the proceedings Sasha Wass, QC, explained how Jonny had made 'a real effort… to clean yourself up' in 2012 – highlighting the email he sent in 2012 to Elton.
The email read: 'My dearest Elton, 100 f***ing days of clarity for an old reprobate t*** like me.
"No one would ever have believed it possible but for a select few, most importantly you."
He signed off the email: "I would have been swallowed up by the monster were it not for you."
Johnny confirmed that he did manage to get sober though later relapsed.
The actor said: "I got sober off alcohol and remained sober… I can't remember exactly how long but it was a long while."
