Kate Moss has been called in as a witness for Johnny Depp ’s defence against Amber Heard.

She has defended her ex in court, saying: "We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm and as I left the room I slid down the stairs. I hurt my back.

"And I screamed because I didn't know what had happened."

The supermodel then added that Depp rushed to help her, saying he "carried me to my room and got me medical attention".

When asked if Depp ever pushed her down the stairs, Moss replied: "He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs".

Amber and Johnny were married for just two years between 2015 and 2017.

She alleged in an explosive tell all article for The Washington Post where she alluded to being sexually and domestically abused by Johnny.

He alleges that Amber was actually the one who abused him, and the trial commenced on 11 April in Fairfax County, Virginia, USA.

While Johnny is suing Amber for an eye-watering $50 million worth of damages, Amber is countersuing for $100 million.

Amber referenced Kate, 48, by name in her testimony, alleging that Johnny had pushed her down a flight of stairs while on holiday when they were in a relationship.

She punched Johnny in the face, saying she was scared he was going to push her sister, Whitney, down the stairs in 2015.

She told the courtroom: “[Whitney’s] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her," Heard said. "I don't hesitate, I don't wait.

“I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs. And I swung at him."

Gorgeous supermodel Kate and actor Johnny were an iconic couple dating in the late 90s. The two dated for four years, between 1994 and 1997. She was 20 and he was 31 when the two met.

While their very public relationship was, at times, perceived as rocky after he was arrested in 1994 for criminal mischief for trashing a hotel room in New York, Kate was found unharmed.

During the time they were together, the two were inseparable, and often followed each other around the world for their respective work commitments.

The two were clearly cut up about their split, both separately reminiscing on their time together in interviews after the breakup. A year after they went their separate ways, Johnny told Hello! Magazine: “I had been so stupid because we had so much going for our relationship.

“I let my work get in the way and I didn’t give her the attention I should have done.”

In 2012, Kate emotionally opened up about their split, saying she “cried for years” about it.

Kate told Vanity Fair: “There’s nobody that’s ever been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit, I always believed what he said.”
