Lewis Burton wishes Caroline Flack happy Valentine’s Day ahead of court date

Lewis Burton has reached out to Caroline Flack via his Instagram story, sharing a photo of the two of them as well as the words: "Happy Valentine's. Love you," and a kissing face emoji.

There is no suggestion that Caroline has responded to the Valentine's message, which was shared with Lewis' 41,100 followers on Instagram, publicly or privately.

The couple have not been allowed to see each other since December, when District Judge Julia Newston refused to remove bail conditions, which prevented Caroline from contacting Lewis.

She is not allowed to contact him directly, indirectly or visit his home after she was charged with assault.

Former Love Island host Caroline's defence Paul Morris argued that the conditions should be lifted.

He told Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court: "They had been in a relationship all of this year and he appears in court today to support her and they remain a couple.

"She wants to spend time with her partner. If the conditions were lifted there would be no concerns.

"It's not an irrelevant point, it's Christmas, it's New Year, she's suffered enough.

"She's in the public eye – this case has been scrutinised, she will conduct herself properly."

The application to remove the bail conditions was denied and Caroline, 40, and Lewis, 27, left the court separately.

Caroline's trial is expected to start on March 4, 2020 at the same court.

It comes after Caroline was arrested and charged with assault, after an alleged incident at her home in December.

Yesterday, Lewis reportedly left a now-deleted comment on an Instagram post on Caroline's pal Mollie Grosber's account.

In the video clip, Caroline could be seen trying her hand at rock climbing.

Lewis reportedly commented: "You're both useless," and a heart emoji, before the comment was deleted.
