Louise Redknapp feared that ex husband Jamie ‘could have anyone’ before split

Louise Redknapp had gone through the notions of believing that her "handsome husband" Jamie Redknapp "could have anyone" that he wanted before they opted to split.

The 46-year-old has released a tell-all book, openly discussing her 19-year marriage to football pundit Jamie, called You've Got This and Other Things I Wish I Had Known.

Speaking of their romance previously, she told the Daily Mail: "When I feel confident, I think, ‘I'm a good woman, he won't find anyone better’.

“Then I have days when I think, ‘There are beautiful, skinny girls out there. He could have anyone.’”

And she refused to rule out the possibility of Jamie straying, adding: "I'd never say never because I'd be a fool to."

In 2016, Louise landed a place on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing but just a few months after the 2017 tour had finished, the former Eternal star announced that she and Jamie would be filing for divorce.

At the time, Louise and Jamie were one of the hottest celebrity couples in the showbiz world so the bombshell news came as quite a surprise for most.

The R&B pop star had been introduced to the former England footballer via pal Robbie Williams at a Take That concert that girl band Eternal had supported.

Louise and Jamie's relationship was a slow burner with the pair going on dates every now and then before finally getting together.

Just one year later their relationship began to get serious after Jamie had broken his ankle, with devoted Louise spending five days at his bedside.

With his career now over, Louise wrote: "He was devastated, and I just knew I wanted to be with him so I went straight to the hospital.

"That time we spent together is what cemented us. I understood his passion for what he did.

"He was hungry for his work and I understood that feeling because I was the same about my own career."

Just as Jamie was about to be discharged, he turned to Louise with a jaw dropping question that left her stunned.

She added: "We were sitting in his room and he said to me, 'I think we should probably get married, then.'"

It was hardly the proposal made of dreams but she accepted and the pair began plotting a small wedding in Bermuda together with loved ones.

Although Louise had been voted Sexiest Woman in the World by many magazines, she had issues with low self-esteem and confidence that led to concerns of Jamie being unfaithful.

In 2010, Louise told the Daily Mirror: "Yes, I check Jamie's phone for messages, for sure!"

At the time, it was believed that Louise had become worried after so many people had told her Jamie was "really handsome" which left her fearful he would stray.

The Heavy Love hitmaker also honestly revealed that her relationship with Jamie saw both "good days and bad" with the pair arguing "like any other couple".

She went on: "Never judge a relationship as you don't know what goes on behind closed doors… We are not as perfect as everyone thinks."
