Love Island’s Paige Thorne has opened up about the comments other contestants made about her during this year’s series of the show, with some calling her “a b*tch”.

The paramedic, 24, recently appeared on the Wednesdays We Drink Wine podcast, hosted by Made In Chelsea’s Melissa Tattam and Sophie Habboo.

While chatting to Sophie and Melissa, Paige addressed the claims that the show’s Casa Amor girls, Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe, made about her, describing her as “not being very welcoming towards them” while in the villa.

Paige admitted that she had been stand-offish during her time on the ITV2 dating show.

She said: “Coco actually dragged me a bit and then I came out on Monday night and had flowers sent to my room from her and a sorry note and everything. I was like ‘ok cool, it wasn’t that deep but thank you’.

“And then obviously I have seen the bits with Summer but what it is with Summer is she will just say it how it is.

"And I was standoffish with the girls at first, I am not going to be everyone’s best friend.”

Sophie then pointed out that the Casa Amor bombshells were purposely there to steal their men.

Paige replied with: “Exactly and what do you want me to do?

"Roll out the carpet and kiss your ass as soon as you walk in. It’s not my vibe sorry. It’s not that I am being a b*tch, I am just keeping it real.”

However, Summer claimed that the girls who were part of the show’s original cast were that unwelcoming to the newbies, the producers had to step in.

Speaking about Paige after she left the show, Coco claimed that: “I tried to form a bond [with Paige] but it felt like she still had an issue with me, I didn't get with Jacques I just didn't understand her issue with me.

“Is it because I'm another brunette in there? I don't know.”
