Former soapstar babe Michelle Keegan has shocked fans by posting a throwback picture of herself with blonde hair.

The brunette star shared the hair transformation snap that she took five years ago, showing what happened when she bleached her long brown locks.

The stunning actress looked beautiful while sporting both colours but the stark change did make her look staggeringly different.

But looking at Michelle's post, it was clear the star wasn't so keen on her bleached look.

Posting on her Instagram stories, she said: "So five years ago today… this happened."

The 34-year-old uploaded the photo of her mid-transformation sitting in a salon chair with foils in her hair.

She also uploaded a second picture showing off the finished look, posing in her car after leaving the hairdressers, with a pair of sunglasses on.

The former Coronation Street actress then added a comical meme with a shocked face, connoting the idea that she wasn't a fan of her blonde tresses.

These uploads come after the star shared an Instagram reel of a 'day in the life' style montage of her super-glam life.

Michelle showed her 5m followers a whole day in her enviable life – featuring workouts at a luxury gym to a sexy photoshoot.

She captioned the video: "I love watching reels like this so I thought I’d make my own!

"(I missed out the part where I get dragged out of bed kicking and screaming first before the gym) …Come on a shoot with me!"

The short film begins with the Our Girl actress working out at a state-of-the-art gym, squatting and working on her shredded abs.

As the music plays we then spot the former Tina McIntyre actress tuck into some breakfast before jumping into a chauffeur-driven car with a takeaway smoothie in hand.

In the next scene, Michelle pops up on the set of a modelling shoot for her Adidas sportswear range from Very, where she has her make-up applied by a glam squad.

She then strikes a series of picture-perfect poses on a white podium while donning a string of different outfits as photographers capture the looks.

The reel ends with Michelle leaving through an exit while carrying a big bunch of flowers.
