Firing back at the ‘Kiss Me Thru the Phone’ rapper, the ‘Shortie Like Mine’ spitter likens the former to NBA star Ben Simmons, who missed many free throws these playoffs.
AceShowbiz –Soulja Boy and Bow Wow have amused fans with their friendly feud ahead of their “Verzuz” battle. Having been trolling each other for a few weeks, the “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” rapper and the “Shortie Like Mine” hitmaker continued insulting one another on social media.
On Monday, June 21, Soulja shared on Instagram a 2018 meme of Bow in which the latter falsely claimed he was riding a private jet although he was actually flying commercial. Soulja then turned to Twitter to write, “Bow wow fell off.”
“Bow wow ain’t had a hit since Marco Polo and I gave him that song,” the 30-year-old said in another tweet, referring to the former’s 2009 single. He then added in the follow-up post, “Bow wow couldn’t make a hit in 2021 if his life depended on it.”
“Bow wow could never make a song like she make it clap and get played on the radio in 2021,” the MC went on mocking his rival. “I haven’t heard a bow wow song on the radio since I was still living in the hood without a record deal.”
Soulja Boy made fun of Bow Wow ahead of their ‘Verzuz’ battle.
Soulja’s posts have since caught the attention of Bow Wow, who then took to his own Twitter page to offer his clapbacks. He first tweeted, “Soulja just stop, like literally stop…. The diff w/ me and you is.. YOU HAVE TO PUT OUT MUSIC. I don’t. Ill be in the box office this weekend while you sit at home in your living room yelling on live at no one.”
Bow Wow added, “Soulja i know how much you getting paid on the millennium tour… you’ll make more being my assistant. Play fair. See you saturday lil brother. #headliners vs #openingacts.” He then likened Soulja to NBA star Ben Simmons, who missed many free throws these playoffs. “Soulja is the ben simmons of the rap game. Go rehearse and get off the internet. See you Saturday cap gun,” Bow Wow challenged.
The 34-year-old spitter, real name is Shad Gregory Moss, also replied to one of Soulja’s tweets that read, “Bow wow never shot nobody. I let the Draco go off.” In response, the Ohio native wrote, “Dont forget you sold crack too. Just didnt want to blemish your street cred.”
Bow Wow fired back at Soulja Boy for insulting him.
Bow Wow and Soulja will be pitted against each other on “Verzuz” on Saturday, June 26.
