Star Trek actress and Girls! Girls! Girls! star Laurel Goodwin has sadly passed away at the age of 79.
The Hollywood legend passed away on February 25th in Catherdral City however it is not clear what caused her death.
Laurel is best known for starring alongside Elvis Presley in the film Girls! Girls! Girls! in 1962.
The actress played the wholesome rich girl Laurel Dodge, who tried her best to win Elvis' affection. But she is mainly remembered for sharing a dance with the rock star during a heartwarming scene.
Not long after the film, Laure was cast as Yeoman J.M. Colt in the pilot of Star Trek: The Cage. However, the pilot finished in early 1965.
Laurel's other rememrable features include appearances on Get Smart, The Beverly Hillbillies and Mannix.
She later retired from acting in 1971.
Since the news of her passing was announced fans have taken to Twitter to share their condolences.
One social media user penned: "Sad to hear that Laurel Goodwin, yet another member of our #StarTrek family, has passed away. Laurel appeared along with Captain Pike, Number One, and Spock in the original pilot, 'The Cage.' Sending my condolences to her family and loved ones."
Another said: "SAD FAREWELL. Laurel Goodwin was in the #StarTrek episode THE CAGE and appeared opposite #ElvisPresley in GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS. I am just receiving word that Laurel died on February 25 at the age of 79. RIP."
