The Chase star legend Mark `The Beast’ Labbett has a new job – as a bingo caller in Barnsley.

The TV star will be ordering `eyes down’ for a full house at Che Bar in the former South Yorkshire pit town on Friday.

Punters have forked out £100 for a prosecco package for eight at the brains’n’bingo bash.

After Mark, 56, has called the numbers revellers will get the chance to pit their wits against him in a Chase-style quiz.

The venue says: "We have something big coming to Barnsley.

"Bingo with The Beast.

"We are going to be giving away some crazy prizes alongside the chance to go head to head with the chaser himself for a jackpot prize.

"This event will sell out so if you want to see The Beast in action at Che Bar for our new Coco Bingo event buy now."

Boozy bingo bashes are a new money-spinner for stars as Happy Mondays icon Bez, 58, also cashes in at events.

The dancer will have a stint calling out the balls and hosting a DJ set at a £45-a-head bottomless brunch at Manchester’s Escape to Freight Island venue next month (May).

The Dancing on Ice contestant tells revellers: "How do, everybody.

"I’ll be Marac-ulously transforming Escape to Freight Island for a melon twisting rave bingo fuelled bottomless brunch with Bingo Bango.

"This is gonna be one great afternoon of madness so grab your tickets."

The ITV star has changed dramatically in recent weeks, overhauling his lifestyle to lose a whopping 10st after cutting down on snacking.

Mark has shared his progress on social media, with fans commenting with their shock at his huge transformation and rushing to share their compliments.

The star has since showed off his weight loss by returning to The Chase for a new series to once again try and stop contestants from leaving with a pile of cash.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
