Zayn Malik has undergone a dramatic transformation following his split from Gigi Hadid.

The One Direction heartthrob, 29, had been sporting longish hair and a beard of late.

But he has now shaved it all off and unveiled his clean-cut new look on Instagram.

The latest snap uploaded to his Instagram grid shows Zayn with much shorter hair, styled into a bit of a quiff.

The singer's facial hair has been cropped, with just a shadow of a beard and a moustache remaining.

The pouting star was clad in a V-neck green t-shirt that showed off his array of tattoos.

"Tu eri el de tinder cierto? Cristóbal?" he captioned the shot, which loosely translates as: "You were the one from Tinder, right?"

Fans gave the star's look the thumbs up, with many posting hearts in eyes and flaming hot emojis in the comments section.

"This is the Zayn I signed up for," said one admirer.

"He looks so young here," said another.

One posted: "Reminds me of the early early 1D days where he'd wear a tie and he'd take selfies like this."

"Sooooooo hot," gushed another, while one wrote: "We've been blessed."

"Dude I'm falling for him again," said another fan.

Zayn and Gigi had dated on and off since 2015 and have a daughter together, but are thought to have called time on their relationship last year, following reports that the singer got into a row with the model's mum Yolanda.

In October he filed a "no contest" plea to four counts of harassment after an argument between him and Yolanda.

It was reported at the time that Zayn was placed on 90 days probation for each count and that he also had to complete an anger management class.
