Bartender explains what an ‘angel shot’ is and how ordering it could save a life

TikTok user Benji Spears went viral on the video-sharing platform after sharing a simple code people can use which will alert bartenders to potential problems.

Mr Spears, who was working as a bartender in Los Angeles when the video appeared on TikTok, recreated a situation in which he spotted a woman on a date looking uncomfortable.

His clip was viewed more than seven million times when it first appeared in July 2021.

He went over to check, offered the imaginary couple if they want some more water and the “woman” ordered an angel shot with lime.
