Dog only responds to owner’s boyfriend when he talks with accent

A cheeky Rottweiler pup has been teaching his owner’s boyfriend how to communicate effectively.

Young Paddy lives in a loving home with his Staffie sibling Nancy and owner Megan.

The pooch has been teaching Megan’s boyfriend the nuances of communication in Northern Ireland by refusing to respond to his English accent, reports Belfast Live.

The dogs star in many of Megan’s TikTok videos (@megan.reads.a.lot), and in one clip, her boyfriend tells Paddy to “sit down”, but the big pup is having none of it until he hears the same command in a good, strong Northern Ireland accent.

He tries again with the “Give me your paw”, and again Paddy waits to be spoken to in the world’s best accent, and of course he offers his paw for a shake and lots of treats.

The video has been well received on TikTok with massive support, with more than 1,500 people revealing their own experiences.
