Google Maps users speculate who ‘Joe’ is after reading his name mowed into lawn

A group of Google Maps fans are wondering who 'Joe' is after the name was cut into a lawn in Virginia so big that it can be seen on a satellite view.

Reddit user u/Actual_Home_3502 posed the question on the subreddit r/GoogleMaps, "Who is Joe?" after spotting the name trimmed into a lush green lawn outside of a luxury home on Forest Crest Cresent.

Naturally, forum users came swinging with their sarcasm at the find as they made a "Joe Mama" joke in the comments as others questioned who he could be.

One user said: "JOE MAMA LMAOOOOO!"

Another added: "Next door neighbour needs to cut MAMA into their lawn."

A third said: "Don’t know, but I bet that’s his house."

A fourth wrote: "How can I find this on Google Maps, would love to f**king destroy my nephew with a joe mama joke."

The news comes after the inhabitants of Norfolk Road in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, had no idea that their estate resembled a man's genitalia until they saw it in satellite images.

The owner of a local pub – the Sandhill Tavern – said they were not even aware that the bird's-eye view of the area looked like their premises were being 'urinated on.'

But they tried to play down the row and said it wasn't a big topic of conversation as it "wasn't that kind of village."

He said: "I've never heard anybody mention it – and it looks like a penis from above? Wow! I've not really noticed. We've never had anybody mention it to us in the pub.

"I don't think anyone has looked on Google Maps. It's a weird situation! I've never given it any thought as I didn't know. I think everyone would be more or less in the same boat and wouldn't have noticed.

"It's not really that kind of village though. They're not really interested in stuff like that."
