A woman described as a “pillar of the community” has been arrested after repeatedly using a public car park as her private toilet.
Andrea Grocer was charged with wanton destruction of property by Massachusetts police after allegedly pooing in the car park an average of twice a week over the past month.
Grocer, 51, was arrested near the Natick Outdoor Store, a camping equipment and sporting goods outlet in Natick, Massachusetts.
Workers at the store at first thought a large animal must be frequenting his car park but then , said police spokeswoman Lt. Cara Rossi,”they noticed toilet paper and other wipes — items animals would not have access to.”

Workers opening up the store in the morning spotted the pile of poo first. "And then it happened again. And then it happened again," Henry Kanner, owner of the store, explained. "We saw a pile of human excrement with a little bit of toilet paper on top of it on the parking lot."
Mr Kanner, said he installed CCTV cameras outside to catch shoplifters but ended up spotting Grocer squatting in his parking lot.
Police staked out the car park earlier this week in order to identify the miscreant by then known as the “Parking Lot Pooper.”
A cop allegedly spotted Grocer in the car park pooing out of the door of her 2018 Lincoln MKX SUV just before 7 a.m on Wednesday morning.

A police report says that, when confronted, Grocer told the officer she suffers irritable bowel syndrome and was on her way to her job as a nanny.
But, according to the same report, she was seen loitering in the car park for up to 10 minutes prior to the offence and, as NBC Boston reports, there are several public loos in the area.
Police also called Grocer’s employer, who confirmed that there were readily available toilet facilities at their house.

Grocer was arrested, charged and released without bail this week. At a brief hearing her lawyer called her a “pillar of the community” who works full time.
“I’m so happy they arrested her,” Mr Kanner said. “I have no idea who she is. This has been ongoing. She has defecated quite often over here. There’s nothing more disgusting coming into your parking lot in the morning and seeing a pile of human excrement.”
