Ex-porn star Raven Alexis' death due to an infection is the latest in a series of eerie tragedies in the industry.
The former adult entertainer passed away in Las Vegas last week, and is the latest tragic passing in a line of ominous deaths and grisly murders that first began in 2017 with the passing of Shyla Stylez.
Alexis, 35, had been contracted with adult film production company Digital Playground between 2009 and 2010.
Her death comes just one month after the tragic death of transgender performer Holly Parker, who was also known as Nessa Janovich.
The recent string of deaths has shaken the world of porn, with reports of another transgender performer Angelina Please, real name Francesca Montalbano, found dead and "unrecognisable" in March.
Montalbano, 24, was found dead by her friends who had spent hours banging on her door after she was reported missing.
They found her surrounded by drug paraphernalia in her home, with neighbour and fellow porn star Aspen Brooks writing of her devastation.
She said: "I'm at a loss for words. Went to go check on my friend after she had been missing, only to find out we lost an amazing person."
The star was called "gorgeous" by porn director Casey Kisses and praised for her professionalism.
Montalbano had been doing ketamine alone in her apartment and was "unrecognisable" when police found her, Daily Mail reports.

Her death came just weeks before news broke of an OnlyFans model being found dismembered in a freezer, with the gruesome death attributed to 26-year-old Carol Maltesi when fans recognised her tattoos.
The Italian star was hacked to pieces with police finding several bin bags on the side of the road on March 16, months after the OnlyFans content creator had been reported missing.
Maltesi was reportedly killed by neighbour Davide Fontana, who admitted to killing her with a hammer before cruelly posing as the model, sending messages to her mother saying she had "left porn" and was too busy to explain why.
The news of the murder broke at the same time as the anniversary of the tragic death of Olivia Lua, who passed in January 2018.
Lua, 24, had left a chilling final message on her Twitter feed which left fans of the adult model concerned when she posted: "I feel it everywhere, nothing scares me anymore."
The tragic passing marked the fifth adult star to die in just seven months, with the Philadelphia-based content creator working in the industry since 2016.
Lua, who also went by Olivia Voltaire, had been found dead of a suspected drugs and alcohol overdose while at a California rehab facility.
