The idea of time travel has been intriguing experts for centuries, with many claiming the feat would be impossible. However, one scientist believes it one day will become a reality, but it will involve travelling to a parallel universe. This is because ‘now’ can only exist once on our timeline, but if parallel Universes do exist where reality virtually mirrors our own, then it may be possible to access those timelines.
Marshall Barnes, an independent researcher who is a specialist in temporal physics and advanced concept science and technology, made the claim, stating that time needs to exist in a linear form for us to live.
Theoretically, this could mean there are other linear timelines in parallel Universes which might be accessible, Mr Barnes claims.
He writes on Q&A site Quora: “If time didn’t exist, nothing could move, vibrate, change, etc. Since it does, then time is real and it is time that allows those things and space is where they happen.
“The first physical thing that we can see that proves time is real is in photography.
“If time wasn’t real, not only would shutters not work but it would make any difference what shutter speed or aperture you used since they are both related to time.
“By going to NOWs that are different from the ones normally experienced.
“Special Relativity already describes how there is no such thing as a universal NOW and provides for the ability to experience a variety of NOWs.
“The physical experiments show that new NOWs have been created in new parallel universes.
“These experiments point the way to being able to doing actual time travel to new, parallel universe copies of the past.
“These experiments resulted in identical types of results as predicted by German astrophysicist Rainer Plaga in his 1995 proposal for experiments that would be able to detect parallel universes.
“So time travel is not only possible, but could become a physical reality a lot sooner than you think.”
