Arsenal have sent a letter offering to take Russian teenager Igor Diveev on trial.
Mirror Sport reported earlier this week that Arsenal had been watching the 18-year-old after he impressed at the prestigious COTIF youth tournament.
And Russian outlet Championat reports they have offered Diveev the chance to earn a contract in north London.
Arsenal have reportedly sent a letter to Diveev’s club side FC Ufa and are keen to see how he would perform in England.
Diveev is yet to play for the senior side but is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Russia.
How Emery has shaken things up
Unai Emery is keeping everyone on their toes at Arsenal thanks to their increased competition, according to Shkodran Mustafi.
German defender Mustafi admits nobody can rest on their laurels now things have been shaken up at the Emirates following the arrival of the Spanish boss.
Emery has signed five players – goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defenders Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos plus midfielders Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendozi.
And he has shown he is not afraid to act if a player under-performs, hooking top-earner Mesut Ozil against Chelsea and also axing Aaron Ramsey from his starting XI to face the Blues.

Henry accepts Bordeaux job?
Thierry Henry has agreed to become the new Bordeaux manager, according to reports in France.
The Arsenal legend walked away from his Sky Sports punditry work after last season with a view to taking on a position as a No.1.
After a successful spell shadowing Roberto Martinez as his assistant for Belgium at this summer’s World Cup, Henry appears to be set to embark on his own journey.
RMC claim Henry has said yes to the Ligue 1 club following the sacking of Gus Poyet, who labelled the club’s board a ‘disgrace’.
